Description

The sub-program "Energy Efficiency of Municipal Schools and Kindergartens" provides funding to municipal schools and kindergartens for the implementation of energy efficiency and energy saving measures.

The sub-programme is co-financed by the revenues of the NTEF Climate Investment Programme and by the proceeds from the Agreement for the sale of Annual Emissions Allocations (AEAs) between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Federal Republic of Germany of 24 October 2022.

A municipal school or kindergarten project can receive grant funding from NTEF up to 70% of the total investment costs for energy-saving measures.

In addition to projects to improve the energy efficiency of school and kindergarten buildings, NTEF actively works with many schools and kindergartens to implement activities leading to the optimization of the behavior of building users - teachers, students, school staff. Lecturers from Sofia University "Kliment Ohridski" developed an original teacher training program, which has been implemented and over 80 schools across the country are already working in this direction.
