The history of the National Trust EcoFund (NTEF) matters – it illustrates perfectly the importance of well-working institutions. Everyone who has contributed to the Fund’s work can be proud. NTEF supports water, air and biodiversity protection – the nature legacy we are obligated to protect and pass on to our children and grandchildren. 

Those are the words of the managing director of the International Monetary Fund Kristalina Georgieva – one of the founders of NTEF in 1995. She was an honored guest at the event marking the 30th anniversary of the Ecofund on the 2nd of June in Sofia, Bulgaria.
