On June 3, 2022, in Varna, a representative of NTEF presented to the academic community its overall initiative for introducing climate action in Bulgarian schools and kindergartens.

The forum was under the patronage of the Minister of Education and Science, Academician Nikolay Denkov, and is the anniversary edition of the annual forum. This year, the theme is "Climate Change and Physics Education".

The forum is co-organized by the Union of Physicists in Bulgaria, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Institute for Climate, Atmosphere and Water Research of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the Eureka Foundation, the Municipality of Varna, and the Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Observatory and Planetarium, Varna.

Since 2015, NTEF has been actively working to introduce climate and energy knowledge in Bulgarian schools and kindergartens with the expert and financial support of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment. Professors from Sofia University have created an original teacher training program, which has already been introduced in fifty schools and kindergartens in twelve municipalities of the country. The students are energy managers of their school buildings. And the savings realized from reduced energy consumption are enjoyed by the students themselves.
