This year we celebrate the seventieth birthday of the patron of the award, Mimi Pramatarova, the first Director of Rila National Park, as well as the twentieth edition of the competition. The double anniversary will be marked tomorrow at the annual event of the National Trust Ecofund (NTEF).
The Minister of Environment and Water, Ms Rositsa Karamfilova, will present the first prize.
Due to the excellent quality of many of the submitted competition entries, this year the jury awarded two first prizes, two second prizes and two third prizes, as well as five additional distinctions for literary achievement. The names of the laureates and their works will be published.
During the event, NTEF’s Strategy for the period 2026–2035 will be presented, outlining the Fund’s vision and priorities for the next decade. A highlight of the programme will also be the panel discussion entitled “Financial Instruments for Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation”, dedicated to the opportunities for supporting climate policies and investments in Bulgaria.
