GUIDELINES for the creation and implementation of

ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN MUNICIPALITIES

The introduction of an energy management system by municipalities facilitates their work on energy management, as well as assists them in fulfilling all legal and regulatory requirements related to energy use. In addition, the commitment of each municipality to implement and maintain this system is a demonstration of a responsible attitude, giving an advantage in attracting financial resources for the implementation of projects to improve energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources.

This guide was created in partnership between NTEF and EnEffect within the framework of the European Climate Initiative (EUKI) of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety of the Federal Republic of Germany.
